Rendition of my blog's theme song

My husband found this video on YouTube of my blog's theme song being played by the coolest beatboxing flautist you have ever seen. (Who else could die over the word "flautist"? LOVE it.) It really starts jamming about 30 seconds in.

About this blog

As hard as it may be, writing is actually the easy part when it comes to becoming a published author. When I finished the first draft of my novel An Unexpected Kingdom in 2008 I thought it wouldn't be long before I would be stocked at Barnes & Noble. As it turns out, not only did my writing have a LONG way to go, but I had only taken the first step on an incredibly difficult journey to getting published. After a lot of work on my writing and a lot of research into the process, I am ready to dive in to the churning waters of querying agents, submitting to editors and magazines, and (gah!) self-promotion. This blog will chronicle my efforts as well as any reading or writing themed odds and ends I feel like sharing. And yes, the title is a shout-out to my favorite Inspector.
